Students look at artworks by Andy Warhol to appreciate the ways that artist used imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural objects. They will explore the ideas and themes behind Warhol's iconic artworks and create repetitions and collections of their own.

From Plant to Pizza

In this unit students will design their own terrarium so that can grow an herb to be used in their final product making a healthy pizza. Throughout the learning sequences, they will research and compare traditional, indigenous and modern farming methods to produce food and fibre. They will also use and describe how statistical information is presented and can be used by society to inform decisions about food. Finally, students will prepare and follow a recipe to make a healthy pizza.

The children will complete weekly activities that reflect the content taught in class. The topics that will be focused on will be - Mathematics and English. It may include Science and Creative Arts.

Marble Magic

Students will explore and classify forces as contact/non-contact and push/pull. They will explore the ways forces are used to affect speed and direction of a moving object and apply this knowledge to creating a marble maze.
